Sissi House Restaurant, 2010
Located in one of the small narrow streets just off Jdeideh Square, Sissi House was a restaurant I frequently visited during my visits to Aleppo. The building itself was a beautifully restored 17th century merchant's house with a large central courtyard. During the day, you could see the large selection of antiques on display along the walls. In the evenings, the restaurant hosted live music and became a vibrant place to hang out. This photo was taken in 2010, and reports say the building burned down in 2012.
All profits made from prints purchased from the SYRIA album will be donated to the Syrian Armenian Relief Fund.
